Gazprom contests antitrust ruling on 12 bln rbl pipeline tender
MOSCOW, Aug 2 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom has filed a suit against an order of the Federal Antimonopoly Service to eliminate violations in the company’s tender for the purchase of 11.9 billion rubles worth of large-diameter pipes, a representative for the service told PRIME Tuesday.
In mid-July, the service said that Gazprom introduced excessive requirements for participants of the tender and gave very vague wordings of requirements for documents necessary to enter the tender, which could have weakened competition and increase purchasing prices, the service said then and ordered the company to eliminate violations and prolong the tender.
“The service received a notification that Gazprom has filed a suit to court challenging the service’s orders. We are now waiting for the court’s hearing on the issue, we expect it to happen in a month,” the representative said.
